Best advice I've received: Don't rely on other people for happiness, find it in yourself and what you do.

What I did last summer: I was blessed with the experience of traveling to Massachusetts, Georgia, and Colorado to play softball. I was also able to explore those states with my team while we were there.

Favorite Player: Brett Gardner

Favorite Movie: Silver Linings Playbook

Favorite Quote: "This too shall pass"

What is most important to me: What's most important to me is keeping a very small group of best friends. I like to be friends with as many people as possible, but the closest ones are very special.

Favorite thing about playing softball: I really like the fact that all the different positions have such different roles, and if we all work hard at what we need to do individually, then it all comes together as a team.

Best softball experience:
Junior year of high school we were in a county playoff game. I was going up to bat when we were down by three with two runners on. As a joke to calm my nerves, I told myself, "If I hit a home run, the game will be tied." And then I actually hit one and tied the game up.

Toughest obstacle overcome in softball:
The toughest thing I've had to overcome in softball was probably playing the first season after hip surgery; having to accept that I wasn't at my full ability from all the off-time, and working back to full strength.
