SITTING ON THE BENCH

EIGHT THINGS I LEARNED
FROM SITTING THE BENCH

Eight points summarized below from the
FULL ARTICLE by Brianna Peralta at ODYSSEY.

1. WORK HARDER.
Extra reps will only help you.

2. BE MENTALLY TOUGH.
Every hurdle you overcome is mentally building yourself up.

3. BE THE BEST SUPPORT SYSTEM for your team. Be the biggest fan section. Make sure your team is up at all times and in the game.

4. LEARN HOW NOT TO ACT. You see the girl who has an attitude. Don’t be that athlete.

5. LEARN TO BE PATIENT (& positive). A major key.

6. YOU WILL GET YOUR OPPORTUNITY. You have nothing to lose, so play with no regrets.

7. LEARN TO ENJOY THE TIME
you’re there. Celebrate team successes and don’t dwell on the times you didn’t play.

8. YOU ARE A VITAL MEMBER
of the team. Bench players, on top of the cheering and support, are doing a lot of behind the scenes.
