LEADER OF DEFENSE

I am the leader of my defense.

My eyes see it all.
They feel when my pitcher is struggling.

They sense when a runner is about to steal.
They know when my team needs just a little bit more.

 I am confident.

 I believe in myself 
and my team.
I trust each and every one of my teammates.
I know, win or lose, 
we will leave everything 
on that field.

I do things the right way.

I always give 
100% of what I have.
I sprint to my position.
I am the first to practice, and the last one to leave.

I love this sport.

I am excited 
when I succeed.
And, I am humbled 
when I fail.
Those small hurdles 
help me to be better.
And, to never settle.
