CBS INTERVIEW

TV interview this morning
Phillies ballgirl, Wesley Wolverine
Megan DiRubbio on CBS Philly show

Tryouts are today for 50 young women to join this year’s Phillies ballgirl team. Our own Wesley Wolverine fastpitch junior #8 OF Megan DiRubbio (Smyrna, DE) was selected last year and will work with the MLB group again this coming season.

Below is a video clip of Megan’s TV interview this morning about the Phillies ballgirls. For the full video, please go to http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/

Megan will be busy as a Phillies ballgirl this summer. For about four games a month, she will be on the Phillies field monitoring the baselines to field foul balls and interact with fans throughout the game as well as visiting the seats of sick or underprivileged fans to present them with special Phillies packages.

She also will participate in several environmental initiatives and join other Phillies Ballgirls to make over 150 off-field appearances at schools, nursing homes, golf and bowling tournaments and fashion shows.

We expect Megan to star in the Phillies ballgirls softball games played for charity. In addition, the ballgirls are instrumental in Community Outreach events such as the Phillies Phestival, Summer Week of Giving, Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, and Season of Giving.
